28 years ago, I was born in a remote region, west far away from the inland of Peoples’ Republic of China. The place named Xinjiang, enclosed by mountains, rivers, timbers, and all other bounteous natural resources. This god-given region is exceedingly engaging, and for me, an average teenager among millions of local inhabitants that time, she never tends to be that serene as it appears. My dream of becoming a scientist has already taken shape when I was still a little man in a shabby primary school where educational system is under-developed. When I became a grown-up, I gradually realized how appealing and meaningful my dream, and achieving such mission has become automatically momentous.
July 1999, right after the regular national college admission exams, all graduates like me were required to apply their wished colleges and expected majors. Yet I lifted pen in hand, the dream from childhood sharply emerged into my mind, my thought was resolute, subsequently I wrote down Dalian University of Technology, one of the most prestigious domestic engineering universities in China as my preferred university. The university locates in Dalian, a beautiful coastal city in northeastern part of China, where a vast majority of high school students are dreaming of. Nothing had ever extinguished my curiosity that to see the sea, and to explore the computer miracle that lies deep down in my heart. I was successfully matriculated by the targeted university. Next month I started traveling from far west to east side of the country to seek out my academic lighthouse. I found myself a mediocre one compared to other peers at the beginning of my college. I did not succumb to the adversity. Despite the first year of college was rather difficult, I had sought out a self-suited learning methodology within the first semester. I made increasing progress in majority of subjects, especially Mathematics and English score were quite high in first year. I continued this tendency next coming years, and rewarded unparallel scholarships annually. Moreover, my scores of programming, database and other computer engineering related courses remain generally high. The last year of my college, with the supervision of my advisor Yao Wei Hong, I have successfully produced Graduate Course Design - Javamail based mail sending and receiving system, which made me one among the highest scores in faculty due to its practicality. The design invokes certain algorithms I wrote to fulfill sending, receiving mails through packages, parsing attachments, interacting with SQLServer database, etc. Besides, several views and procedures were defined in database to simply the unnecessary processes. Web constructing skills includes photo processing, pages construction, XML customizing and web languages like JSP, HTML, CSS, Javascript were employed in it. Recalling those impressive years, I am often inspired and invigorated.
Another July but 2004, upon my graduation of bachelor, many of my peers chose to further their education in home countries, but a few went for job market. I was one of those few. I realized the staggering importance of practicality. My anxiety of graduation became unprecedentedly exigent, since I cannot wait anymore to engage in a job so to cater my growing appetency in social experience. I chose a domestic IT company named Tsinghua Tec, a famous domestic IT company which locates in Beijing, the capital city of China, to embark my careerism. The company’s business basically focuses on Banking Software area. I was that time a fresh Software Engineer and responsible for coding. My position requires C, Java program languages skills and also Linux platform operation knowledge. I found this job both rigorous and challenging. Through my first project, I somehow mastered C program skills, Linux platform and Shell program. During this project, I wrote a set of effective algorithms for account squaring function, bankbook printing procedure, account accessing and fetching. Besides, with my self-learnt Linux knowledge, I programmed several background jobs through Shell Script, which are applied to monitor current running tasks in case any of them breaks down. Those codes not only efficiently simplified the cumbersome workloads, but also improved high availability of each job. For the large project I was involved, I used Java Servlet and Websphere skills for a municipal commercial bank. During this stage, I successfully adopted MVC framework into project, I wrote several classes, defined modules and helped my teammates finishing GUI part with JSP web language. Even the job was somehow painstaking but my enthusiasm was consistently high. I spent my leisure time with English since I understand that I can never stay alienated from my dream.
February 2006, after one and half fruitful year working for the first employer, another new opportunity came into my life. IBM (International Business Machine), the household outstanding IT company was reaching her hands to me. This time was a big stride to my life. The branch company locates in Shanghai, was enrolling Software Engineers and required work content is partly analogous to my current one. Due to my previous work experience, moderate interview performance and compelling English skills, I was luckily employed. I was mainly responsible for Storage Interoperability Testing and Perl automation program for IBM Total Storage Products related projects. This position requires in-depth storage knowledge. During this phase, I have done a plenty of testing projects regarding to customers’ requirement. Those projects involve IBM Storages with varying tools from different vendors like HP, Oracle and VMware as well. Based on those projects experience, I had published several technical papers in IBM knowledge repository. One of those papers, which titled “IBM SDD, RDAC work together supports HP ServiceGuard” was filed in IBM’s top 5 valuable papers ranking during year 2008 among all global IBMers. And it made me the first engineer from China who shares this kudos. On the other hand, I also wrote Perl scripts for my team, my codes include converting XML files into EXCEL files (also workable conversely.), Storage Health Check, Automatically Managing Unit Logic Volumes, and so on. I was requested twice by my manager to work in U.S. office with American colleagues. The first time I was in San Jose, California, I was involved in an Oracle RAC projects. During this project, I installed RAC10.2 by myself on four Linux servers. After loading data from AIX clients into running RAC database, I made some error injections and have detected issues from collected statistics from Swingbench – a GUI tool for monitoring. I have studied methodology to diagnose the latent problem with IBM Storages when RAC is involved. After careful study, I found out the root cause for this problem, and fixed it after apply the workaround. Second time I was in Tucson, Arizona. I assisted Shanghai colleagues with their testing projects. I helped them in handling any abnormal situations occurred with IBM servers and different levels of storages, correcting wrong zoning configurations, installing and configuring various OS like Redhat Linux, Suse Linux, Windows, VMware, AIX and so on for them. I stayed in U.S. for about half year. My clinging working attitude was acknowledged by both U.S. and Shanghai managers. Thanks to managers’ trust, I was offered training chances in Oracle campus in Shanghai. Afterwards I have participated and passed both OCA (Oracle Certified Administrator) and OCP (Oracle Certified Expert) exams.
September 2009, SAP - a well-known Universal Software Manufacturing company in Walldorf, Germany, offered me a global job position. Though I reflected it over and over again, the increasing prevalent SAP technology has finally conquered me to make this jump. I attended SAP Early Watch training and received the certificate after testing right upon onboard. I support SAP customers by providing solutions on SAP system performance issues and also solving Oracle bottlenecks. I have solved bunch of issues in the passing year. I trace their System Statistics, Memory, Buffer, Database events, related log files and use my learnt analyzing skills to verify the root cause. Remember that I went to Beijing with one of my colleagues for solving issues. We checked all possible factors may result in a poor performance situation but hardly reached a solution. After checking application code, I found out customer’s application code has severe problems. They have employed redundant loops in codes that have dramatically increased data load that to be sent to database. As a result, database response is particularly high from the statistics. I quickly referred to the ABAP program document, checked out a more scientific way of writing that segment of code. After adapting the new code into application, SAP system performance became much better since database response time has been decreased largely. In some critical cases, I was on-site to customer side. I have been once so far in Germany for supporting a customer in Europe. My acknowledged Oracle proficiency enabled me a time of training for the batch of new hires. The growing capacity of SAP knowledge has never weakened my passion of learning new technology. Instead it stimulated me to find a new land to catch up.
From primary school life to university, I have well-learnt theoretical knowledge through punctilious attitude. Except paper books, six-years working experience with strenuous moments and life sensibility has taught me something that one can hardly master from books. I believe in the magic power of theoretical knowledge, but I never neglect the herculean influence brought by social and familial experiences, which is extremely pragmatic and important. From my life retrospection, without either of them, I could never become such a considerate, realistic and thoughtful person like today. Those merits entrenched deep inside enable me surfing on the ocean of what I crave for - computer knowledge.
When being asked the most desired place to stay, each may reply different. For me, I would answer U.S., simply because my dream is there, U.S is an ideal place for a further education, a place where a pauper can become a man of wealth through his wisdom and endeavor. I am a passionate, optimistic and thanksgiving person, I have to admit that my academic score is not as superb as many other guru, however I believe only a persistent one can gain whatever he desperately wants. It is dream that links us to this open country.

Topic:
The following appeared in a health newsletter.
"A ten-year nationwide study of the effectiveness of wearing a helmet while bicycling indicates that ten years ago, approximately 35 percent of all bicyclists reported wearing helmets, whereas today that number is nearly 80 percent. Another study, however, suggests that during the same ten-year period, the number of accidents caused by bicycling has increased 200 percent. These results demonstrate that bicyclists feel safer because they are wearing helmets and they take more risks as a result. Thus, to reduce the number of serious injuries from bicycle accidents, the government should concentrate more on educating people about bicycle safety and less on encouraging or requiring bicyclists to wear helmets."
My Answer:
The author of this memo claims that to reduce the number of serious injuries from bicycle accidents, the government should focus more on educating people about bicycle safety rather than encouraging bicyclists to wear helmets. To justfity this claim the author cites two studies that during a decade the number of bicyclists reported wearing helmets has increased from the beginning 30% to 80% in the end, meanwhile the number of accidents caused by bicycling has doubled. I find this argument logically unconvincing in following respects.
First, the author bases her claim partly on the fact that the proportion of all bicyclists wearing helmets increased dramatically over the last decade. However, the author provides no proof that the increasing number of helmet using has a direct connection with the doubled accident rate. Perhaps the weather became relatively fickle those years in that area, may it rain a lot time to time or becoming rather windy, thereby a helmet could protect them away from terrible weather conditions. Lacking information about the concrete relationship between these two studies, I simply cannot accept the conclusion.
Second, the author does not necessarily indicate the increased percentage of accidents caused by bicycling is the result of less education on bicycle safety. It is possible that during the ten-year phase, the mentioned area is holding a special event, which needs to create new buildings or road repairing to meet the standard, thus even an ajar well or bumping road with the obscure vision in the night could have caused the increased rate. It is also entirely possible that the bicycle supplier who provided bicycles before has been changed to a new one in the middle of these ten years, thus the quality of bicycle manufactured could be less solid. Without establishing that all other factors affecting, the author cannot rely on this limited evidence to support her conclusion.
Third, even if those bicyclists were less educated on bicycle safety, the statistical reliability of this memo is still questionable. The author in fact provides no information about the exact number of bicyclists in accidents. The larger this group compared to the sample 100 bicyclists, the less reliable the study’s results. For example, if it were 5 of 100 bicyclists who constitute the number of bicyclists in accidents 10 years ago, according to the memo, the number of today increased to only 10, which is less persuasive.
Finally, a 10 year time span might not be sufficient to gauge the validity of this memo. Even it is true that people in that area are less educated on bicycle safety in the light of this memo, it cannot preclude the possibility that perhaps cycling has become increasingly popular within these 10 years, and certain people are getting familiar with bicycle safety and paying more attention on traffic than before. Until a longer time span was given to verify, any conclusions based on these studies are unfair.
In conclusion, the correlation of these two studies lends little credible support to her conclusion. To better bolster these two studies, I would need more information about the concrete number of bicyclists in accident, I would also need the result of two deeper studies with longer time span. Otherwise this memo alone is suspicious.

This argument provides us a new thought, which seems ostensibly correct, and tends to be particularly agreed to those university students who have been succeeded in their own disciplines but found themselves having trouble in job interviews or in finding an ideal job after graduation. Understandably, the argument right hits the points of their bleeding wounds. As for my perspective, whether universities should require every student to take courses outside their credit or not, largely depends on two factors, the individual’s personal interest and clear identification of one’s strength and weakness.
Admittedly, each individual in this world has greater or slighter difference from each other about their abilities and appetites in different respects like Sports, Music, interpersonal communication, language proficiency, etc., which always determine one’s distinctive existence. Some of them may have been given birth with that magic talent, while some others are driven by effort they have ever taken. Yet, it is universally believed that the ultimate purpose of a student who goes to university is to gain valuable knowledge that one deeply fascinates, thereby to become an erudite or professional one in one’s own field in the future so to serve others, contribute to one’s home country or the whole world, or simply devote to that field. That’s the motivation why a vast majority of us enter university.
Taking an example, The Beatles, an English pop and rock band, formed in Liverpool in 1960. Some members of the band were born in family that with poor financial support that had no condition for them to enter university, however they had never relinquished their common but unique goal – music. While holding belief tightly, struggling with the hardship and endeavored themselves for many tough years, had finally made their dream came true and consequently reaped their long-expected triumph. Imagine if the band members were forced to study a discipline has nothing to do with music in a university, would it be possible that they become successful in that field? Maybe possible, but can they be the tantamount significant as today? The success of their story examplifies an enlightening case that only knowing what an individual fancy best deep down in one’s hearts and be fully sticking to it from the cradle to hell, can it be fundamentally effective and meaningful.
To a certain degree, clear identification of one’s strength and weakness is equally crucial, especially to those who have no idea about what he or she feels really infatuated during student phase. An apt example here could be Wayne Rooney, and English footballer who play as a striker for English Premier League. Before his career in football, he was a boxer, who used to spend juvenile period in practicing boxing in a palestra, but afterwards quitted it and joined football sector by coincidence. Being recognized that his strength and talent in football by a coach, his destiny has abruptly turned that made him becoming a well-known sports celebrity of today. It is undeniable that, for the sake of a good fortune, which made him becomes such successful. But also the clear recognization of himself, which made him finding out his real advantage that has facilitated him becoming the leader of Manchester United Football Club. Without knowing himself better, it is also possible that he might still engaging in increasing boxing practice to get himself ready time to time for the anticipated lose to other superior boxers.
To sum up, the argument just offers us a rough conclusion, in which we need to take a closer scrutiny. Developing one’s ability and skill in a specified field has no guilt, but when it is compared to finding or digging one’s potential power, the latter becomes more compelling. It is not only for the individual’s development but also for respecting a student’s intrinsic essence as possessing something solely subjected to human nature.

We encounter a lot of problem in our daily lives, and we often say a matter of trouble is a problem, especially those make us feeling belt-tightening alike.
To a general degree, let's see financial problem, emotional problem, career problem, relationship problem, house problem and so on, they are somehow torturing us in a harsh way. Meanwhile, let's take a look at those minor problems like traffice problem, quarrelling problem, communicating problem and fighting problem etc. It is not necessary to cite more, those cases teach us enough on how we deem from a variant view. We remember what problems have had troubled us, but few of us ever realized about what a brand-new definition of problem indicates. Here I would like to anaylse it employing my personal perspectives, which are maybe arguable by any of you, whatever I welcome your join.

No matter you study, work or for a temporary business trip in United States, it's surely helpful to have a driver license. Probably you still don't have one, don't be sad, you are still lucky because it's easy to get a driver license in America, on the other hand, you actually can benefit more by possessing this license than in other country. Here's how to get it in case you are in States someday:
- Driver License Manual. Check out driver license manual of the State you stay, it's always available on Internet, google it or download it from the official website of your local MVD(Motor Vehicle Divsion).
- Study the manual carefully. Try to figure out key points of the manual, especially those digital questions need attention.
- Take the written test. After you think you study it well, go to local MVD for the written test, and bring your passport or any valid card of you that has a photo and your birthdate displayed. You will have totally 3 times of chances annually for the exam including road test. Once you pass, MVD would grant you Instruction Permit. If you failed, don't worry, there's another twice chances, so be well prepared.
- Practice driving. With the Instruction Permit, you are lawed to practise driving with a supervisor seating beside you, sure, he must have a driver license. It's much safer for you to drive the vehicle onto the main road after certain practices in parking area, therefore it's sensible to practise as much as you can to get yourself not only familiar with your vehicle but aslo every situation when you drive.
- Get a car for the test. To take the road test, you need to provide a car yourself, if you have any local friends or workmates in America, then try to borrow their car for the test. If you don't, then you may need to use rental car for the test, in this case, you will need to go to car rental company to get your name added into the name list of contract.
- Road test. There are normally several MVD located in your State, so it's smart for you to select a comparably easier one for your test. 3 points turn and Parallel parking are always the essential test parts for MVD. Before you go to MVD for the road test, it's strongly suggested to practise these two parts well, since it could ensure you pass the road test at the greatest possibility.
- Fees you need to pay. Instruction permit is $7, Driver license is $10.
- Expire date. The American driver license is a permanent one, however if you are a short time visitor in States, you will need to renew it everytime you visit America in the future according to the expire date of your I194 paper, it's convenient to renew, you only need to take the license to its local MVD, so don't worry, but it requries $10 for each renew.
- Change to a China driver license. If you wanna have a China driver license by using your U.S driver license, you need to take written test in China first, after you pass the test, just bring your American driver license to local traffic management center, they will work on it for you.
Those are based on Arizona's driving regulation, I am not very sure about it in other States of America, I guess they can be similar...

I feel ashamed of myself when I start writing this article, because I deem self not being qualified as a person who always embracing the challenge, and I am now writing the article that titled "Embrace the challenge" under great pressure of being a bold face person...
Challenge is a great thing, believe or not, it's 100 percent infallible. I convcit that many of you might agree with me at this, nevertheless, how many of us authentically understand and have been embracing challenges, this is doubtful. Easy to say, hard to execute, that almost happens on everyone, plus we have been squandering our precious time to say at many times rather than striving on sth for the dream. Dwelling on what we youthful people lack of today, and what we couldn't remain, it's no question - the challenge we couldn't embrace. Age ascends rapidly year by year, young of you are saying goodbye to the golden times of youth. Where are your heartbeating moments of yesterday? Do you still remember those immortal times you have made and experienced? Are they all buried...? Maybe yes maybe no, that's perhaps not important, since you may have been conquered by many factors like influence of time, family concerns and other irresistable reasonss, I appreciate you my friends, my brothers, and chaps I even don't know. Have you ever taken what I have mentioned into your account when you are heading for your new journey? Wish these make your sense of the life and to meditate again the reflection of your future.
Recently I found myself some changes about the attitude towards challenge. Firstly I am obliged to say sorry to myself and espeically myself of yesterday, because I have lost myself for many in recent, I couldn't be mature as I used to expect of myself, I have lost the original qualities of myself these days, all is because of myself, nothing to do with other matters, blame goes to me! We are fortunate, since we are able to realize what we are going wrong and capable of correcting it into its previous path...
Challenge helps youth growing well. I regard it an indispensable element for youth, without it, we lost the authentic meaning of life, that's my concept of embracing the challenge! I found myself many times that couldn't sleep well, eat happily and live comfortable, I'v been considering about this, finally I found out myself has almost became a zombie that strays without embracing the challenge I face, it has been happening to me for long, this tragedy has transformed to the root and has been affecting me heavily, I wish to be a metal-made person that could live significantly, only meditating it time to time is all in vain, actions are required immediately and perennially...
I admire the bird since she hails the sunshine, she also embraces the severe storm, she might look for her habitat desperately, just the same as her, I crave for an undying life like the phoenix, which never expect myself to accomplish something great then sign an ending mark there, but all is to learn how to lower my head down deep and persist making each things to take shape.
That's it.

European Cup - one of the most welcomed sports programme is representing its chrisma to football fans all over the world, among all of these fans, I am the one.
As a football fans, I have my own perspectives like others, and I always take myself understanding deeper than others in football, this doesn't only include football knowledge but also includes players's integeral abilities, team tactics, managenent even. Here, in this article, I want to argue about the story that happened several days ago. During the eliminant match between Croatia and Turkey, I have witnessed Croatia was mistakenly kicked out by the referee but not Turkey in the final mins of match, the behavior of coach left me a very bad influence, it even can be elevated to a disaster to football itself and to a truly deserved acknowledged football team - Croatia, they are now the sacrafice of this evil conduct. When Croatia coach Bilic was demanding referee to change substitute at the last min, the referee didn't allow(or pretend not to see, or didn't see in his responsibility) him to change, just becasue of this, which leads to a sharp different ending - Croatia was out. When fans are astonished by so-called Turkey's excellent reserved performance, I am hatred at referee's guilt, this couldn't make me envy Turkey but makes recognize and adore Croatia football utterly new. Yes, we have to admit there are many accidental factors in football and we also can leave behind the past games, but I believe the result of this match should all attributes to referee's fault, because it's himself causes Croatia lost their could-win match. This had happened and now becomes unchangable, I have much indignance to confide, if football keeps like this, there would not be much enthusiasm for real football fans, and it would only generate many more little-knowledgable fans to support lucky win football teams. Imagine how absurd if this really happens again, I want the match to be impartial!
On the contrary, I find one thing catching my attractions - Croatia football. After EU football event, I have reknown this team with their own football culture, it's definitely a miracle team and they have many others don't have, I respect this kind of team, for me, I have many can learn from them, a typical example teacher of mine. I didn't mean to oppose Turkey team, they have their own strength, but luck gives them more to win, this is not what I expect from them, if they want to be in first class in EU football, they still have a long way to go, even many fans may argue that they are already in the first class as they becomes black house with their ranking in the event, however, that's not real for me, I suggest them to see insight of football, then it will enable you take a different and more rational view. Lucky win is not the essence of football, at least not for me, I appreciate Croatia, they plays with the spirit that I expect, and they wins my repect even they were out.
Adopting Croatia football's spirit into my life would be very encouraging and motiviated, since it has many that deserves me to learn, I wish this can also produce resonance on you.

People around me like my colleages, friends, compatriot wondering whether I have a girl friend or not. This baffled me a lot, since actually I had never noticed that they had this thought for quite long. That sounds quite funny, isn't it? At least it's really ridiculous for me. Most of them believed that I must have a girl friend hiding somewhere but never telling them my love story. To be honest, I have been experiencing more than 2 years single life, and this had taught me well on emotion matters. Although I heard that many boys in our clan today have high demand for their desired girl friend, no matter true or not, I am sure that's how they conclude me not having a girl friend so far. Truly to say, this has nothing to do with me.
With my knowledge, encountering a girl is the matter of fate, which is so-called "Yuan Fen" in Chinese, there should not have a definite criteria to select a girl from a pile of girls for one's love relationship, I am not a member of those demanding boys. I stick to my rule firmly whenever, to be very rational and as reasonable as much. As we know, everyone should have his own principle for life and love, this rule should adapt to everyone, even as we admit there must be some out of this rule. To be an excellent man, he usually clears about what his golden aspect is and how this influences people positively and motivatedly. As a truly welcomed girl, she often knows how to appreciate an authentic man and understand his heart correct so to distinguish him from others, even that she may have heard some bad or nasty remarks from her relevant people, she would go and probe whether those words are rumors or real punch for her. Man is after all different from woman, this is unchangable, womem tend to lost many easier than men in most cases, thus we can't judge a man's quality by the rule which we used for woman.
What I'm saying is that, people who have their habits to talk about others' stories, and people who links reasons that single people like me keep single with high demand, just keep being whom you are, because there's nothing more than a comment to you, we are seperated people live in one world. Nevertheless, there's remark I prefer to tell single men include myself, do never concede to your emotional demand, and what's more, to make yourself a valuable, respected person when when you demand your love.

As lightening slashed fastly, years turn on its new page, which leads a thinking of the harvest of last year, what I got and what I loss? Career likes a mountain, I'v been moving on half, planning is becoming better-designed, action needs to be sharper. Love seems a hole as before which can never make you perceptive to it's uncontrollness. Familiy, I'v been doing a stable forwarding role, for parents, nothing best, only permanent love and more careness is everything. Friend, no matter which nation, good men are always not alone, made it better than before.
